ADB ''Compensa Vienna Insurance Group'' insurance claim payment procedure

What documents do I need to submit in order to receive an insurance payment?

The insurance benefit is paid after:

  • all necessary documents confirming the fact of the insured event and/or the liability of the policyholder/insured have been received
  • the policyholder or the injured person (beneficiary) has submitted a request for insurance payment
  • submitted and/or available documents confirming the fact and amount of damage
  • expressed consent of the person regarding the processing of his special personal data (in case of harm to the person)
  • received traffic accident declaration or police certificate (in case of a traffic accident)
  • received documents from competent state institutions (fire services, police, healthcare institutions, emergency services and other institutions) confirming the fact of the event and its circumstances
  • submitted documents confirming that repair work was carried out and paid for, or a request was received to pay directly for the performance of these works with the supplier of services/goods, if the vehicle or other property was repaired after the insured event
  • documents confirming the acquisition of the property, if it was newly purchased after the insured event, are submitted
  • invoices and other documents confirming the provision of treatment services, the purchase of medicines and the purchase and payment of other services and goods related to personal health and other documents related to personal injury (reports of medical experts, certificates of incapacity for work, etc.)
  • receive other documents confirming the amount of damage (e.g. documents justifying lost income, etc.)

How long does the insurance payout take?

The insurance benefit is paid through:

  • the terms specified in the rules of the relevant type of insurance, but no longer than within 30 calendar days, counting from the day when all information necessary and significant for determining the fact of the insured event, the circumstances and the amount of the loss is received. If, according to the insurance contract, the insurance benefit is paid periodically, this period applies to the payment of the first part of the benefit
  • if you suffered damage during a traffic accident, the insurance payment to the person injured in the traffic accident is paid according to the terms set in the Law on Mandatory Liability Insurance of Vehicle Operators

Where is the insurance payment transferred?

  • the insurance payment is transferred to the specified bank account of the person who has the right to receive it, or in the event of a request - directly to the account of the supplier of services/goods
  • if the event is recognized as insurable, but the policyholder or the injured person (beneficiary) disagrees with the insurer regarding the amount of the insurance payment, at the request of the policyholder, the insurer must pay an amount equal to the undisputed insurance payment of the parties, if it takes more than 3 months to determine the exact amount of the damage
