Whom is
MTLP insurance for?

All motor vehicles registered or to be registered in Lithuania, including scooters, trailers, and semi-trailers—excluding rail vehicles—are required to have mandatory car insurance. Insuring these vehicles with this type of insurance is compulsory. The same applies to unregistered agricultural and forestry self-propelled machinery, loading equipment, and towed wheeled machinery.

This service also includes the provision of a replacement vehicle that you can use for up to 7 days following an accident.

Roadside Assistance Plus in Lithuania

The service is provided for an additional fee of EUR 35 per year and is valid in the Republic of Lithuania.

Roadside assistance is provided when it is impossible to continue the planned trip due to any vehicle breakdown, traffic accident or any other unforeseen incident, such as running out of fuel, a damaged tire, or getting locked out of the vehicle. This service also includes a replacement car after a traffic accident that you can use for a period of up to 7 days, as well as other services.

NEW! Provision of a replacement car after a traffic accident for a period of up to 7 days If the vehicle had to be towed after the traffic accident, and once it was delivered to the repair shop and a written confirmation was received that the repair will take more than 1 working day, a lower-than-middle-class replacement car is provided within 24 hours. A replacement car is provided for a period of up to 7 days, but in any case no longer than until the end of the insured vehicle repair. The customer's request for a replacement car must be submitted no later than 5 days after the day of the traffic accident.
NEW! One-time one-hour counselling for the driver of the insured vehicle after a traffic accident in which the victim's health or life was impaired A one-time one-hour counselling session is provided to the driver of the insured vehicle after a traffic accident in which the victim's health or life was impaired. The service is provided by the service provider indicated by the Insurer's partner, and only upon presentation of a certificate of traffic accident issued by the police or other responsible authority.
NEW! Provision of a light car single-axle trailer with a carrying capacity of up to 500 kg for 1 day At the customer's request, a passenger car single-axle trailer with a carrying capacity of up to 500 kg is provided for 1 day once during the validity period of the contract. The trailer is provided under the terms of the service provider specified by the Insurer's partner.
NEW! Transporting an electric car to the nearest working charging station or charging the battery on site Transportation of an electric car to the nearest charging station or on-site battery charging is available no more than twice during the contract period, and only after the electric car has run out of charge.
Consultation via phone In the event of a traffic accident, we will provide professional advice by phone via the 19111 hotline. We will help you to fill in the accident declaration.
Towage We will tow your vehicle to the nearest car repair shop, storage place or your place of residence in Lithuania, when the accident has rendered the operation of the vehicle impossible or it will endanger normal driving, passenger safety or the vehicle itself. Note: The service applies only after a traffic accident, if the policyholder is found to be the culprit of the accident. Not valid in case of vehicle failure
Starting the engine If it is not possible to continue the trip, a technical assistance specialist arrives at your location and perform minor repairs. You will have to pay for the materials used during the repair.
Fuel supply If it is not possible to continue the trip, a technical assistance specialist will deliver fuel to your location. We deliver fuel free of charge, but the cost of the delivered fuel is covered by the customer.
Wheel replacement If it is not possible to continue the trip, a technical assistance specialist will arrive at your location you and replace the damaged tire of your vehicle (we will provide the service if you have a spare wheel).
Emergency unlocking of doors in the event of a lockout If it is not possible to continue the journey, a technical assistance specialist will unlock the vehicle door in an emergency or deliver you your spare keys.
Taxi service for the driver and/or passengers When the vehicle cannot continue the journey and is towed, and its repair is expected to take more than 1 working day, we will organize transportation of the driver and/or passengers to the intended destination (up to 50 km).
Car storage If the protection of your vehicle is required after a breakdown, incident or car accident, we will arrange its storage for a period of up to 14 days. This service is only available if the car has been towed.

Roadside Assistance 24/7 in Lithuania

The service is provided for an additional premium of 25 EUR per year and is valid within the Republic of Lithuania.
Roadside assistance is provided when it is impossible to continue the planned journey due to any vehicle breakdown, a traffic accident, or any unforeseen incident – such as running out of fuel, a damaged tire, or locked doors. We offer this service when insuring a passenger car, a commercial vehicle with a gross weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes, or a motorcycle (NEW).

Consultation via phone In the event of a traffic accident or vehicle breakdown, we will provide professional consultation via the short phone number 19111. We will assist you in completing the accident report form.
Towing an electric vehicle to the nearest working charging station or charging the battery on site Towing of an electric car to the nearest charging station or on-site battery charging is available no more than twice during the contract period, and only after the electric car has run out of charge.

Insurance against Collision with an Animal

The service is provided for an additional premium of 35 EUR per year and is valid within the Republic of Lithuania.
If a passenger car insured under compulsory motor third-party liability insurance is involved in a traffic accident on a road in Lithuania due to a collision with an animal (hereinafter – the traffic accident), we compensate costs directly related to the respective traffic accident:

Car repair costs incurred as a result of the traffic accident Car repair costs incurred as a result of the traffic accident, up to EUR 2,000, with an unconditional insurance deductible of EUR 100.
Irreparable damage to the car after the accident If the car is irreparably damaged after the accident (i.e. when the repair costs exceed 75% of the car's market value), the Insurer pays a one-time compensation not exceeding the difference between the car's market value on the day of the accident and the value after the accident, at all times not exceeding EUR 2,000. In this case, the costs of renting a replacement car and the costs of rescuing the car at the location or towing it back to the road are not compensated.
Insurance coverage is valid only on the territory of the Republic of Lithuania Insurance coverage is valid only in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania.
Wild Animal Collision Agreement The insurance contract for the collision with a wild animal expires after the expiry of the compulsory insurance contract for the civil liability of vehicle owners, to which this contract is an appendix, if the owner of the car changes, if the full insurance amount is paid, or if the car is destroyed.

The police must be notified In the event of a traffic accident, the driver of the vehicle must report it to the police and stay at the scene of the traffic accident.
Applies to all animals Animals are defined as all wild, domestic, and farm animals, without any exceptions.
Insurance becomes effective after 6 days A waiting period of 6 (six) days applies from the start date of the insurance coverage. During this period, no insurance benefits will be paid for events related to the insured risks, even if such events occur within the waiting period. Full insurance coverage becomes effective only after the expiry of this 6-day waiting period.
One-time vehicle transportation costs from the accident scene
Public transport or taxi expenses incurred by the driver and passengers when leaving the accident scene

Mini Casco

The service is provided for an additional premium of 26 EUR per year and is valid within the Republic of Lithuania.
If an insured passenger car is involved in a traffic accident in Lithuania, after which the vehicle becomes inoperable or its further use would pose a risk to other road users (hereinafter – the traffic accident), the Insurer shall compensate the following costs directly related to the respective traffic accident:

Car repair costs incurred as a result of the Traffic Accident Car repair costs incurred due to the Traffic Accident (up to EUR 1,500 EUR after deduction); In case of car repair, the unconditional deductible is EUR 150.
Irreparable damage to the car after the accident If the car is irreparably damaged after the accident (i.e. when the repair costs exceed 75% of the car's market value), the Insurer pays a one-time compensation not exceeding the difference between the car's market value on the day of the accident and the value after the accident, at all times not exceeding EUR 1,000. In this case, the costs of renting a replacement car and the costs of rescuing the car at the location or being towed back to the road are not compensated.
Irreparable damage to the car after a fire if the fire was not caused by the Traffic Accident In the event of a car fire, when the cost of repairing the car exceeds 75% of the market value of the car, and if the fire did not occur due to the Traffic Accident, the Insurer pays a one-time indemnity not exceeding the difference between the car's market value on the day of the accident and the value after the fire, at all times not exceeding EUR 1,000.

Driver and Passenger Accident Insurance

The service is provided for an additional premium of 6 EUR per year and is valid within the Republic of Lithuania.

		Driver and passengers accident insurance The driver and passengers are jointly insured for 7,500 EUR in the event of death and 7,500 EUR in the event of invalidity. The sum insured per insured person is calculated by dividing the total sum insured by the number of seats installed in the vehicle. The insurance benefit is paid only if the accident occurred during the accident in which the insured car was involved.

Legal assistance

The service is provided for an additional premium of 17 EUR per year and is valid within the Republic of Lithuania.
When concluding an annual compulsory motor third-party liability insurance contract for a passenger car or motorcycle, you may purchase a legal assistance service under which we will compensate the cost of legal consultations on matters of concern to you, such as how to assess property damage, what evidence to collect, and how to submit claims for compensation, ensuring the protection of your rights in the event of a traffic accident. Legal consultations are provided by phone or email in the following cases:

Traffic accident If your vehicle is damaged during a traffic accident due to a collision with another vehicle or as a result of hitting a pothole.
Natural disasters If your vehicle is damaged due to unforeseen natural events, such as falling ice from a building, a fallen tree, etc.
Health impairment If, as a result of a traffic accident, you suffer bodily injury leading to loss of income and non-pecuniary as well as pecuniary damage.
Administrative offence If you commit an administrative offence, such as exceeding the permitted speed limit, driving dangerously (recklessly), leaving the scene of a traffic accident, driving under the influence of alcohol, or committing other offences.
