Rehabilitation treatment
The need for rehabilitation must be determined and prescribed by the specialist doctor who performed the diagnosis (not the physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor – FMR). After making the diagnosis, they provide a recommendation for rehabilitation treatment. The FMR doctor (rehabilitation specialist), after reviewing the medical documentation provided by the treating doctor, prescribes rehabilitation procedures. If the treating doctor prescribes rehabilitation procedures and their quantities within the scope of their competence, without requiring an examination by the FMR doctor (rehabilitation specialist), then an additional consultation with the FMR doctor is no longer necessary.
